South Haven Cottage Rates
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- $150 per night - $1050 weekly
- Summer Season: $1050 plus 6% sales tax.
Winter Season: $120 Per night plus 6% sales tax
Only full week rentals are available during summer season. Winter season requires 2 night minimum and 3 night minimum for holiday weekends.
A payment of 50% is needed to book and secure your date. The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks prior to rental. There is a seperate $350 security deposit required. The deposit is returned two weeks after your stay provided there is no damage created during your stay.
We accept Paypal, check or money order.
If you need to cancel, please inform us no later then 30 days prior to your stay. You will receive a refund less a $200 rebooking fee. If you do not give a 30 day cancellation notice then the amount paid will bev forfeited. - For locking in your date, a signed copy of our “Rental Agreement” and “Release of Liability” along with a 50% down payment of the rental fee is required to book and lock in your date. We also require a security deposit of $350 in the form of a separate check. The security deposit will be voided and returned to you within two weeks after your stay provided there is no damage incurred.
The remaining 50% of your fee must be paid two weeks prior to your arrival. We accept personal checks, money orders, credit cards or PayPal.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, you must inform us no later then 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival. You will receive a refund less a $200 rebooking fee. If you do not give a 30 day cancellation notice then the amount paid will be forfeited.
Check in
During the summer season (June 1 through September 1) the weekly check in time is 5pm Saturday. Check out time is 12pm noon the following Saturday.

- All bedrooms are clean and fairly spacious, with enough room not just for your cothing but for everything from a basket of freshly picked peaches in the summer to your cross country skiing equipment in the winter. The upstairs bedroom includes a couch, and the entire cottage has centrail air conditioning and heat to keep you comfortable during your stay no matter what time of the year. Three of the bedrooms include nightstands and dressers while the fourth has a closet. All bedrooms are carpeted and have windows. The recreation room has a fold out queen size sleeper sofa, which shares the room with the Internet access computer and bar.

South Haven Cottage Details
Plenty to do in and around South Haven: There is plenty to do in South Haven, including biking, hiking, fishing, swimming in the lake or simply lounging on the beach near the lighthouse. There is a great shopping district full of unique shops and antique stores to amazing resteraunts and bakeries. Depending on the season, you may catch an outdoor art fair consisting of local and far away artists or a boat race down the Black River. Several golf courses are located only minutes from the downtown shopping district. There is a marina where you can bring your own boat or charter a boat. Just outside the city limits you can find pottery barns, more antique shops, farms where you can pick your produce off the tree, fudge and truffle shops and independent wineries that let you sample many of their signature wines or take tours of the vinyards. And if you stay with us in the winter season, there is outdoor ice skating, cross country skiing and snowmobiling to go along with the year round shopping, wineries and pottery barns!
If you love biking...: ...there are plenty of places to go biking around in South Haven. One of our favorites is the Kal Haven trail, which is a beautifully taken care of trail that runs almost 36 full miles to Kalamazoo. With plenty of stops along the way, and long stretches of endless trail to ride along, it can keep you busy for a day and be a great workout at the same time. You can bring your own bike or rent one for the whole day for only $20 at the South Haven Bike Shop on Broadway Street.
