If you are in the mood for a more relaxing or family vacation than Isabela Beach court is perfect for you too. There is a playground in the complex for children and not only is there an adult swimming pool, but there is also a kids one as well. It is a 1 1/2 foot deep round pool that bubbles. Don't want to sit at the pool all day? Well there is a lagoon at the end of the beach near the rocks that the kids can hang out at. 'La Playa de los ninos' has no tides and is still fed water directly from the ocean when it splashes up over the rocks. It is a great place for the family to hang out. There is also a water park nearby in Aguadilla. Looking to save money? Our kitchen is fully stocked and ready to cook in. There are plenty of grocery stores nearby including 'Villa Pesquera' the new fisherman's village of kiosks where you can purchase fresh fish. On the weekends you can sit out on the balcony and watch the ocean while listening to the local music, or go join in the fun.

Things to do: Water sports: Isabela and PR's North & North-West coast have excellent snorkeling, surfing and scuba diving sites. If you want to rent/buy equipment, the Hang 10 surf shop near Jobos beach is a good spot. Last time we checked Surf board rentals were $25. Snorkeling equipment: 24 hr. rentals - $10. Scuba equipment: Daily rentals were $35. Another, bigger surf store is El Rincon Surf Shop located near the Ramey Base. If surfing is your thing, you can start walking west to the nearest spot, Shore Island. If you want to go further, ask the locals for the following surfing spots; Middles, Secret Spot, Golondrina, Jobos, Shacks, Surfers Beach, Shit House, Ruins and Wilderness. Horseback-riding: Check with Villas del Mar Hau and with a place near Villa Montana. Our recommendation is the last offering a 2 hr., 68-mile morning or afternoon ride through 3 non-crowded beaches, plus a hike: $35 per person.

Places to Eat Local: Happy Belly, Mi Casita Tropical, Oceanfront, Soniarican, Mar Hau Restaurant, Playa Sardinera Guest House, Winely's Pizza and Villa Montana's Restaurant. There are also a number of fast food restaurants on Carretera # 2 by the Pueblo Xtra. Shopping: There's a shopping center in Hatillo and Mayaguez with a Sears, JC Penney, GAP, etc. (Carretera #2 20-30 minutes). Isabela and Aguadilla also have smaller malls. Also there's an outlet shopping center in Barceloneta (35 minutes). Golf: Located in Aguadilla, Punta Borinquen Golf Course is an old military course perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Each hole has a view of the sea. Midweek rates are about $30 with cart and on weekends is slightly higher.
