Have a real vacation! Are you tired of being cramped in expensive hotel rooms or stuck in tiny cabins with no amenities? Are you looking for relaxation and exciting summer activities? Our charming 4 bedroom log home is the answer for you. This house offers a great room with a cathedral ceiling, large skylights and a 2 story N.H. granite fireplace. The fully applianced kitchen has a farmer's table which seats 8. There are 2 large bedrooms (one queen and one double) on the first floor and 2 large bedrooms on the skylighted second floor (one double and one 2 twin/double convertible trundle bed). There are two full baths - one European on the second floor (toilet, bidet, sink and glass-door shower) and one standard American (toilet, sink, glass-door shower/tub combo). This gorgeous getaway has a wrap-around porch and a back deck and is located on 4 acres of N.H. forest. Chalk Pond and Marchs Pond are pristine dual lakes and our dock is a 2 min. walk across the country road.

Car: necessary

If you have a motor boat or wish to rent a jet ski, Alton Bay, on Lake Winnipesaukee, is just a 15 minute drive. There are scenic airplane and boat rides available here as well. Every weekend, local artists play for free in the gazebo by the lake and the nights are often topped off with fireworks. Ice cream, mini-golf and craft fairs provide more summer fun. If it's hiking you want, trails abound. The most popular, the Mt. Major trail is a family friendly hike and provides the most beautiful views of Winnipesaukee available. The trail head is a 20 min. dive from the log home. Shopping, in the quaint tradition of N.H. is available in Wolfboro, a 25 min. ride. Also, there are some lovely restaurants - from family -style to fine dining. Portsmouth is a 45 min. ride and offers all the options of a small city. Weir's Beach, a 35 min. ride, offers all the standard boardwalk fun - a drive-in movie theater, water slide, etc.
