Located in Hulls Cove, 4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and 1.5 miles from the entrance to Acadia National Park, this spacious cabin-like home overlooking a pristine meadow provides a perfect environment for you and your family to spend your vacation. The house is set well back from State Highway 3 providing a safe and private place for kids to play and adults to relax, while still providing easy access to the attractions of the island. The L.L. Bean Island Explorer bus is free of charge and will pick you up at the end of the driveway to take you into town, Acadia National Park, or anywhere else on the island you wish to go, and drop you off at the end of the day. The interior of the house is beautifully hand-crafted pine with cathedral ceilings. The master bedroom is in the loft, and has a spiral staircase leading up to it. The south side boasts large glass doors and large windows, allowing for natural light during the days while you're relaxing in the living room.

Spend a day or two in Acadia National Park. Drive the Park Loop Road, which takes you to landmarks such as Great Head, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Otter Cliffs. Take a few hours to hike one of Mt. Desert Island's many mountains, then cool off with a dip in one of the lakes or ponds. Walk, bike, or even horseback ride along a section of the island's 45 miles of historic carriage roads. Treat yourself to a scenic round of golf or try your hand at rock climbing. For those looking for a day on the water, enjoy sea kayaking, whale watching, or a hands-on lobster and seal watch.

The house has a wrap-around porch on 3 sides, perfect for a cookout or lounging in the beautiful Maine sun. The backyard and meadow provide ample space for outdoor games or for your children to run around safely.

Guest Book: See first hand the routine of a lobsterman as the captain hauls traps and shows you what's inside. Hold sea creatures from the touch tank and watch seals sunning themselves on the rocks. Relaxing sailing excursions are also available. Take a walk through downtown Bar Harbor, or visit the island's other small fishing villages a short drive away. With many diverse shops, you are sure to find the perfect souvenir for friends and family. Wind down a long day of shopping with a lobster dinner at one of the local restaurants. Experience the Bar Harbor nightlife with live music and locally brewed blueberry ale at any of the friendly bars in town. Check the Island Explorer schedule for a safe ride home.
