The Stewart House Lodge At 3 Hounds - 94 private acres comprising the largest property in private hands on the Hudson River, also home to Shakespeare On The Hudson Theatre Company. The lodge is dramatic and spacious. Set high over the Hudson and found at the end of a half mile entry drive, this 9 bedroom 1920s stone residence accommodates large groups & families. Views abound from many levels though large walls of windows and expansive decks. From pool side and of course from the river's edge. As one well known guest put it, 'To walk it (the property) is to explore an incredibly beautiful forest primeval, a quiet and secluded land unto itself cut with enigmatic roads, astonishing gorges, waterfalls and a dizzying array of trails and river vistas.'

'Extraordinary!' Home to many delighted movie and Shakespeare players.

A Jewel on the Hudson. Majestic, Magnificent. A world unique onto itself. Now after seven years of renovation, the circa 1883 landmark is reborn and ready for your arrival. Thanks for a great season! We will be closed for vacation beginning April 1st 2008. We will be working on creating a fantastic menu and can't wait to see you all in the Spring! 'Till then, enjoy.
