Dine at wonderful nearby restaurants that specialize in local fresh cuisine or prepare your own from fresh local seafood markets in your fully equipped kitchen A truly historic area with Savannah and Charleston making great day trip destinations.

And if you do want to get out for a while you can. Great seafood restaurants and delicious local cuisine is just minutes away by car. Enjoy local artists and view their works at the many galleries in the area. Sightseeing, shopping and daytrips will also fill the day. Fish the surf or the Hunting Island fishing pier or charter one of the area's local captains and head to sea. Bring your clubs and play one of the many great courses you've all heard about in the area. Comb the beaches, go shrimping or crabbing, go birding, visit the lighthouse next door at Hunting Island State Park. Savannah and Charleston make great day trip destinations. Remember to stop at Publix or one of the other food stores in Beaufort before heading out to the island to stock up on groceries.

Guest Book: There are several seafood outlets on your way out. Gay's Seafood is a great place to buy seafood and if you time it right, you can watch the trawlers come in with your dinner on board! They are across the street from the Shrimp Shack, where shrimp burgers, the best Hush Puppies and sweet potato fries are a must for lunch, they are often featured in many great magazines. The really best part is that you don't have to leave the island unless you want to. Even locals think our beach is the nicest in the area. Remember, chill, relax and be happy! Come and see why we love it here. You'll be BACK!
