Rivercamp is a civilized 20-year-old log cabin perched in the woods on a tidal cove of the Bagaduce River in East Penobscot Bay. Fireplace, tree deck, marvelous stereo, simple, quiet, perfect. Comfortable for two, bring your dogs, no children under 15. Only 10 minutes to Blue Hill (by car) or Castine (by canoe or kayak). No smoking. Acadia National Park is 45 minutes away, Deer Isle's arts and crafts only 20 minutes.

Chamber music in Blue Hill, canoe and kayak trips and rentals, reversing falls, and the best fried clams in Maine exactly one mile away. Deer Isle (Stonington) and Little Deer Isle's famous arts and drafts stores and sites and schools are less than 30 minutes away; Acadia National Part is less than one hour; one of Maine's finest restaurants is in Blue Hill. Dead center of everything to do in Maine.
