Popham Beach House Rates
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- $1800-$2600 depending on season and length of stay. **Optional cleaning fee.
- Rates range from $1800- $2400/week based on number in the rental party. The house accommodates 6 persons comfortably with one or two extra considered summertime (+$100pp beyond 6). Occupancy is limited to 4 wintertime, hot air central heat is throughout the first floor and master bedroom, however only electric and passive heat supplies the 2nd floor main square. An airtight wood stove also may afford warmth or with its doors open, enjoyed for the 'ambiance'.
Rentals are a minimum of one week unless available for a last minute shorter getaway. Monthly off season rate begins Sept. 15th.
To guarantee your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of one week or half the reservation (whichever is less) is required at booking to hold the reservation. The balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.
A security/damage deposit of $1000 is payable upon arrival by separate check.
On occasion we have considered a well-behaved pet with a small additional fee and added security deposit. - The house retains many interesting 1770's architectural details. In a newer wing up a short stairway is a private bedroom suite, large bedroom, 'dressing room' and new bath with oversize enclosed shower. The waterside decks off the living room and an upper bedroom are peaceful and quiet. Gorgeous at sunrise, a planetarium night sky, the commanding view! Moved to this site, the house is tucked in 200 feet from the road. Lovingly restored atop the bluff it takes advantage of the complete privacy, magnificent natural, unspoiled vistas across more than a mile of a broad and bold expanse of the Kennebec River. There is a generous flat yard area off the deck before the land begins to descend towards the water. An ideal spot to relax, renew & get away from the hustle and bustle. A true Maine retreat yet only 3/4 of a mile from the main road (Rte. 209) leading from Bath, on the lightly traveled scenic Parker Head Road, the short-cut leading towards the beaches.

- Because the house is on private septic, EIGHT is the maximum the house may accommodate. There is ample space for an extra fold open bed if a separate sleeping arrangement is needed in one of the bedrooms or for a child in the second room of the master bedroom suite. Please inquire as advanced notice is required. Note there is a short, easy staircase to the second floor 'ell' master bedroom suite which may offer an option if difficulty with stairs is a minor issue. All bedrooms are on a second level...guests should be able to negotiate stairs.
