Brockway House Summary

This luxury home, situated in a wooded Old Tahoe neighborhood, sleeps 10-15 and is ideal for large groups and family reunions. The cathedral ceilings & floor to ceiling windows give Rocky Retreat's great room a feeling of light spaciousness, while the stone gas fireplace, log furniture and mountain decor give a sense of warmth and coziness. The living room has a large TV with DVD and a sound system. The large, gourmet kitchen is open to the great room & is amply outfitted with equipment & classy eating & serving pieces. The cook will never feel separated from the action! The deck has a small filtered view of the lake which is only a couple of blocks away. The large hot tub is right is right outside the back door in a lovely, landscaped garden. Three bedrooms have queen beds and the fourth has 2 sets of bunk beds. There are also a double futon, and two sofa beds (a queen & a twin). The bunk room has a TV/VCR.

All Tahoe's summer & winter activities are within minutes. Summer: Rocky Retreat is a five minute walk to a neighborhood beach, and within 20 minutes of 5 other beaches. Huge King's Beach is only 2 minutes away with boat rental, water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, parasailing, & sailing. Winter: Nine ski resorts are within 30 minutes, the nearest being 10 minutes away. Ice skating, snow shoeing, cross country skiing 2-30 minutes away. Year-round: Hiking, biking & cross country trails abound within 10 minutes. The North Shore's small casino area is walking distance, shopping and restaurants within a 2 drive.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • 2 night minimum except 1 wk min for the following times: Xmas, New Yrs, July & August
  • Spring, Fall, & early Summer:
    $200 - $375/night

    July & August:
    $2800/week

    Labor Day weekend:
    $400/night, 3 night minimum (only $225 each additional night)

    Thanksgiving 2005:
    $425/night, 4 night minimum - (each additional night only $200)

    Christmas Week (December 19 - 26):

    New Year's Week (December 26 - January 2 '06):
    $4300/week

Guest Book: My family (8 adults and 5 children)so much enjoyed Rocky Retreat 6/10 for 5 days--it was really hard to leave! The house is in a great location--close to beautiful Kings Beach, close to great hiking and close to casinos. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area if you can tear yourself away from this lovely home! The kitchen was perfect and had everything you could want and has lots of space to prepare & cook. There is a large dining room table that seats 10 easily and a little breakfast bar too. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. There was plenty of room for all of us and there were lots of us! There are even 2 BBQ's depending on whether you want to BBQ in the back yard or on the front deck--what luxury! It was great having the downstairs mini-kitchen and the hot tub was very nice to have. The fenced back yard is is great for kids and the house is in a nice & safe neighborhood. This house was immaculate which we really liked!
