There is a nature trail with cross country skiing in the winter and , of course, our 2 mile long Sandy Point Beach. We also have access to the Sandy Point Community Hall for large space activities such as dancing, movement, performances, yoga or theater. The Inn at French’s Point may be rented for more formal events you might plan.

Student Art Week June 6 -18 2008: Sandy Point Art School 2008 for Students Ages 9-12 Dr. Barbara Bridges, professor of philosophy, art and education and 15 year veteran K-12 art teacher, sets aside one week a year for Student Art Week. The Sandy Point Arts Retreat for students ages 9-12 is designed to be a life changing experience. Barbara incorporates philosophy (of art and life), intensive critical and creative thinking activities, collaborative and individual art making designed to connect to each participant’s abilities and interests, creative exercise, day trips, beach time, and culminates with a community feast and art show. Fiber, sculpture, painting, drawing, creative digital software and general supplies for creative activities. Participants are chosen by application and scholarships are available. Tuition, room, board and most supplies: $1,500.00. Two apprentice appointments are open for one female and one male age 16-19. One apprentice appointment is available for one art education college student.
