Among all other nationalities, the cities inspire fascination, admiration, and (not always acknowledged), a little good-natured envy. All good enough reasons to come.
Powhatan Plantation bridges past and present with practiced ease. The manor house predates the first president; the activities center and swimming pool are vintage Clinton-era. You'll enjoy both. Hiking and exercise trails ramble over 256 acres of woodland, and golf privileges can be enjoyed at the nearby Williamsburg National course by those who prefer to ruin a pleasant walk.
