Truro House Details
Beach information: The property is located on the ocean side of Rt. 6 in an area between Ballston and Longnook beaches known as East Pamet Hills. It is possible to walk to either beach from the house without accessing the main road although it is a healthy walk. Another beautiful walk through the woods at the end of Union Field Road takes you to a vista overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and a favorite picnic spot. Also convenient to the property is Corn Hill beach on the bay side and Head of the Meadow, a short drive or bike ride.
Walk to dinner: The new upscale Black Fish Restaurant (formerly the Blacksmith Shop) is a leisurely walk across Rt. 6 on the way to Truro Center. Also in Truro Center is the Truro Post Office, Jams for all your wine, gourmet food, and beach requirements, Mac's Seafood for great lobster (cooked or live), clams, oysters, etc, and great clothing buys at a satellite of Cape Tip Outfitters. Truro also offers band concerts and other community activities during the extended summer season.
