Akumal Condo Summary

Vista del Mar's spacious 3 bedroom beachfront condominium has uninterrupted views of the ocean and jungle. The condominium has fully equipped kitchen, spacious open-plan living and dining areas with TV (HBO and Cinemax), in-room safe, ceiling fans, jacuzzi, and CD player. Patio or balcony with hammock. Central air conditioning. Daily maid service, sheets and towels, soaps and shampoo, purified water, are all a part of our service to you. We are on Half Moon Bay between the downtown center of Akumal and the popular Yal-ku Lagoon, noted for its excellent snorkeling. Our property includes a swimming pool, PADI dive shop, La Buena Vida Restaurant and Bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, bike and snorkel gear rentals, and kayak rentals. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are on hand 8 am to 8 pm to answer your questions about the area attractions and to help make your stay most enjoyable.

We are located one hour and fifteen minutes from Cancun Airport, twenty minutes north of the historical ruins of Tulum, and 20 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen. Transportation to Akumal from the Cancun International Airport: When you arrive in Cancun, after clearing customs, we recommend continuing out the door and past the gates to find the economical, and reliable shuttle transportation to and from the airport. The cost for the shuttle is about $40p/p one way door-to-door from the airport to Vista del Mar. For larger groups check for discount rates.

There are no arrangements for sleeping on the sofas.

The Village of Akumal & Things to Do: The unhurried village of Akumal began as a diving resort and remote getaway for discerning travelers. Condo is located on the quiet beach of Half Moon Bay in North Akumal, 60 minutes south of Cancun International Airport. Unlike some of the larger resorts that have popped up in the last few years, Akumal maintains its charming, relaxed atmosphere, and natural beauty. Things to do in the area: Jungle walks and visit the ruins at Coba and Tulum, spend the day at Xel-Ha Marine Park, drive to the ruins at Chichen Itza. (This trip is into the interior of the Yucatan and it takes all day.) La Buena Vida Restaurant has a great Happy Hour from 5-7, Robinson Crusoe Tour - A five hour excursion, visit Playa Del Carmen to shop, take the ferry over to Cozumel and rent a taxi or motorbike to tour the island, visit Hidden Worlds Cenotes, Aktun Chen cave tours, horseback riding, learn to scuba dive, snorkel at nearby Yal-ku lagoon.

How to Reach Us : Most visitors fly into Cancun International Airport and arrange in advance to pick up a rental car at the airport. We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive car insurance. The trip from the airport to Akumal takes about an hour. The roads are paved and well traveled. Buses and taxis, as well as shuttle services are also readily available upon your arrival at the airport.

Akumal Dive Adventures: Our small professional dive shop provides scuba and snorkel instruction and gear rental. Our instructors are PADI certified and available to take you on open water dives and snorkeling tours. The dive shop offers dive/accommodation packages for reduced rates in our hotel while diving with Akumal Dive Adventures. If you are a diver or are interested in learning to dive, let us know and we can suggest the right PADI course for you.
