Corolla House Details
A large open space is behind our home: It is deeded forever wild and provides an outstanding, open-ocean horizon view of the mighty Atlantic! This sweeping view is great from inside the home or from the spacious second floor deck. In addition, there is also a 'crow's nest' over the screened-in porch. This provides a commanding view of the ocean and of the golf course as well. Two smaller decks at the front of the house provide additional cozy retreats. A kitchen, with all the appliances, dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and utensils you would expect are also provided, right down to storage containers, a four-slice toaster, coffeemaker and a custom coffee grinder. The kitchen range is a self-cleaning model, and the side-by-side refrigerator has an ice maker and through-the-door ice and chilled water. The kitchen floor is ceramic tile, as is the entrance area at the first and second levels. The Currituck Club golf course is right across the street. A number of other golf courses are located nearby. Details upon request.
We anticipate that a game room will be added for 2008 and expect to start construction on this soon. We hope to have room for a pool table, darts, poker/card table, a mini-fridg, plus microwave and board games, plus another television and DVD player. Our private outdoor 13' X 29' swimming pool (can be heated off season) is almost finished and will be ready for the 2008 rental season! Pictures will be added when it is completed.
Guest Book: A challenging Rees Jones-designed 18-hole golf course is directly across the street, and a 'pitch and putt' course is nearby too; Go Karts, small boats and kayaks can be rented nearby also. Upscale shopping, a multiple screen movie theater, a recently enlarged Food Lion grocery store (as well as a new Harris Teeter supermarket) and a number of excellent restaurants (and some fast food too) are close by as well!
