As you shop among rental properties, ask about their certification--to avoid being cancelled at the last minute. RATES LISTED REPRESENT OUR 'RECESSION SPECIAL' DISCOUNT OF $100 FROM USUAL RATES FOR RESERVATIONS MADE AFTER JUNE 7.
Dining, Shopping, Boating: : Approx 70 restaurants, mostly casual. Most have lobster and serve liquor. Good value by city standards. Friendly shops and outstanding craft and art galleries. Many forms of ocean boating, including: fast ferry to Nova Scotia, slow sunset sails, whale watches, guided sea kayaking, novel trips on lobster boat or video-dive boat, private charters.
Recreation & Nature: : Hike, bike, kayak, swim, climb. Photograph on guided nature tours in Acadia National Park. Oceanarium, zoo, golf, mini golf, day trips to quaint villages in Maine or Nova Scotia. Century-old reputation as 'America's Most Beautiful Island' and 'Queen of Resorts.'
