Certification for Occupancy: : Starting in 2007, vacation rentals must be certified for occupancy by town officials. Our property is duly certified. As you shop among rental properties, ask about their certification--to avoid being cancelled at the last minute.
Dining, Shopping, Boating: : Approx 70 restaurants, mostly casual. Most have lobster and serve liquor. Good value by city standards. Friendly shops and outstanding craft and art galleries. Many forms of ocean boating, including: fast ferry to Nova Scotia, slow sunset sails, whale watches, guided sea kayaking, novel trips on lobster boat or video-dive boat, private charters.
Recreation & Nature: : Hike, bike, kayak, swim, climb. Photograph on guided nature tours in natl park. Oceanarium, zoo, mini golf, day trips to quaint villages in Maine or Nova Scotia. Century-old reputation as 'America's Most Beautiful Island' and 'Queen of Resorts.'
Other Activities: whale watching, band concerts, mini golf, oceanarium, art cinema, day trips to old villages and to Nova Scotia, nature photography
