Winter time in The White Mountains!: Winter time in the White Mountains is glorious!! It's a CURRIER & IVES storybook vision of ICE SKATING at ECHO LAKE or in town at the public skating rink. Cross country ski from our front door into the trails at Echo lake! We are near Cranmore Mountain only three miles away. Attitash, Bear Peak, Wildcat and Black Mountain ski areas are a mere 15 mInutes away!! Summer months you'll really love our close proximity: just 5 minutes to Storyland, 10 minutes to Attitash alpine/water slides/pool area, 3 min walk to Echo Lake swimming/beach and picnic area + gorgeous mountain ledges in the background and 2 minutes to family canoeing and tubing on the Saco or kayaking on Ellis River. Summer theater performances and concerts for the adults, and Friday mornings enjoy the $5 children performances at the Eastern Slope Theater with live performances such as Peter & The Wolf, Peter Pan, little Red Riding Hood etc. The Valley has many miniature golf courses to make more fun memories.
Take a day trip to Six Gun City,Santa's Village, Six Gun City, Clark's Trading Post, the Lost River and Whale's Tale Water Park. Enjoy swimming or jet skiing, boating and water skiing on Conway Lake, White water canoeing, mountain biking and skateboarding and neighborhood road biking or rollerblading.
Ski: Ski the great mountains of Cranmore, Wildcat, Black, Bear Peak, Attitash and Bretton Woods!
