Solitude House Summary

This gorgeous home was custom built in the early 90's and features hand peeled log columns, antique oriental rugs, Ralph Loren fabrics, stone floors, slate in the bathrooms, and a feeling of home. The owner was a private chef and so the kitchen is fabulous and has every thing you could possibly need to prepare a wonderful dinner. Bon Apetite magazine even did a story in this kitchen! The main floor has a mud room as you enter for all your ski gear. You step up to the cozy living room and walk through to the dining room and onto the chef's kitchen. This is next to the family room where the huge collection of music lives. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master with a king bed and it's own private bathroom and walk in closet. The view from the tub is of the slopes at Solitude and is the same from the bed. There are two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and a twin bed and the other has two twin beds with pop up trundles that can come up from underneath.

25 minutes to Salt Lake City.16 minutes to the bottom of the canyon. 2 minutes to Solitude, 5 minutes to Brighton, 35 minutes to Snowbird, 40 minutes to Alta, 45 minutes to Park City. Located in Big Cottonwood canyon. Easy road access. There is skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, sledding. Summer mountain biking.

Solitude House Rates

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • $450-650/Night
  • Rate is for first 6 people.
    Tax is additional at 13.35%
    25% deposit due within 1 week of booking and the balance due 45 days prior to arrival.
    Each additional person is $25.
    The house is good for groups up to 10.

    Presidents Day Weekend $600 per night (5 night minimum)
    All Season Rate $450 (for first six people per night). Plus tax
    Christmas Rate, December 22nd to January 5th $650 (for up to 8 people) plus tax (7 night minimum)

Solitude House Details

These can be made into two kings, one king and two twins or simply four twins. There are also bunk beds for shorter people. This room can hold six people if it needs too, although children are better off on the bunk beds. In addition to these two bedrooms are one full bath and one half bath. There's one more half bath on the first floor. We have a resident caretaker at the house that takes care of questions and snow removal.
