Chautauqua House Details
Chautauqua Lake - Summer: Chautauqua Lake is a beautiful natural lake in western New York, approximately 35 miles east of Erie, PA and 75 miles southeast of Buffalo NY. Driving time from Pittsburgh, PA is approximately 2:45; from Cleveland, OH, 2:00. Our home is on a quiet bay of the lake, approximately 10 minutes from Chautauqua Institution and near a marina with gasoline on the lake. We have 2 docks with mooring for boats up to 30 feet in length. One of the docks has a ladder for swimming access to the lake. Large, level yard is ideal for children and adults to play. There are numerous public golf courses in the area.
Winter: Our home is approximately 15 miles from Peak n' Peek and approximately 20 miles from Holiday Valley ski resorts. Near many snowmobile trails. Great ice fishing on the lake accessible from the property.
Fall: Falls are beautiful when the hills around the lake break into fall foliage colors and the weather is pleasant through late October. There are many bike trails and also nearby wineries who offer tours and tasting.
