Altea is one of the most fascinating villages on the Costa Blanca. The Old Town is fabulous and full of culture. A walk up to the old church square on the top of the hill, through the cobbled streets, and past the designer boutiques and craft shops, should be on everyone’s must do list. The new part of the town was built close to the beach, where you can also find a lovely marina, quality restaurants, larger shops and bars. If you prefer a quiet evening you can take a stroll on the lovely promenade along the beach. The weekly market takes place every Tuesday morning. The rest of the week, Altea is the ideal place for everybody who wants to relax, but at the same time wants to be within reach of entertainment and cultural sights. Being at the heart of Costa Blanca also has the advantage of offering short tips to to Javea, Calpe and Benidorm where there a number of large theme parks like Aqualandia, Mundomar and Terra Mitica. A unique and upmarket family holiday location.
