It is surrounded by the large estates (Quintas). The walk to Historic Center of Sintra will take only five to ten minutes. Sintra National Palace as well as a great many restaurants and shops are located there.
Golf: One does not really need a car to get around. The walk to the Sintra train station is about fifteen minutes downhill, with the pleasure to view beautiful vistas. The train is scheduled every fifteen minutes and it takes about thirty minutes to get to Lisbon. The distance to the cost and the town of Cascais with several beautiful beaches is about 5 miles. One can take a bus from the town center to go there. The Lisbon Airport is located eighteen miles from Sintra. Takes about 30 minutes by car. Casino Estoril, the largest in Europe, is only about ten minutes by car.
