Atlanta Cottage Summary

This cottage has it's own dock and includes a canoe with the rental. This cottage is next door to the larger Atlanta house. Great for family re-unions or large groups. Located on Crooked Lake which is a no-wake lake, i.e., no jet ski's or fast boats. Great for fishing, canoeing and swimming! The house sits high on a hill overlooking the lake. Sleeper sofa and day bed sleep up to 4 additional people. Master bedroom has a queen size bed. Fireplace, fire pit and a deck overlooking the lake.

Montmorency County has over 135,000 acres of public land and is the headwaters for the Great Thunder Bay River. Atlanta is the Elk capital of Michigan and has the largest herd of Elk east of the Mississippi - more than 800. The house is 1 mile from Atlanta, 35 miles from Gaylord and 35 miles to Alpena. MacKinaw Island is 1:15 hr/min north of the house.
