Notes: Il Casalino is a two-story home and is located in a park-like setting with a fenced garden of 11,000 square feet. As you drive through the gate, you are greeted by stunning views of the Umbrian hills and the scent of rosemary bushes that line the driveway. The ground floor consists of a fully-equipped kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and dining for 6, a large bedroom, and a sitting room with open fireplace. Two doors leading outside let you prepare your meals indoors and take them outside. Enjoy alfresco dining under the stars as you listen to the calming influence of softly splashing water in the fish pond. A staircase lined with antique paintings takes you from the downstairs level to upstairs. Here, you'll find an entertainment room, full bathroom, and the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. From the entertainment room, you can walk outside to a spacious upper terrace, also perfect for dining or just plain relaxing after your exhilarating day of exploration.

Panicale Farmhouse Details

Where to go in Lake Trasimeno/ Umbria: Numerous medieval villages surrounding Lake Trasimeno offer an enchanting insight into this area's culture and history. Castigione del Lago, Panicale, Paciano, Monte del Lago and Passignano sul Trasimeno are just a few that will get your attention. Grab a ferry and spend a day exploring 3 lake islands - Le Isole Maggiore, Minore and Polvese. After a day of exploration, you will truly treasure the ambiance and tranquility that Il Casalino offers. Umbria has more than its share of world-renown destinations including Perugia, Todi, Assisi, Gubbio and the wine regions of Orvieto and Montefalco. Pack a picnic lunch of fresh bread, local cheeses and meats, and fresh plump produce, then head out. Feast your eyes on steep-sided hills cut by deep ravines, rolling hills with wheat fanning in the breeze, monasteries, castles, farmsteads nestled in vineyards, pastures of grazing sheep, and ancient towns perched high on hillsides, separated from the nearby countryside only by stone walls.

Where to go in Tuscany: Tuscany is only a hop, skip and a jump from your home base. Take the road south of Lake Trasimeno towards Castigione del Lago and then follow the signs to Montepulciano. You'll be there in about 1/2 hour and believe me, you will enjoy the sights along the way. This Tuscan hilltop town is famous for Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Nearby Pienza and Montalcino are not to be missed. Siena and Florence (Firenze in Italian) are each worth a day of exploration. These cities are best reached by train to avoid the hassle of traffic congestion in and out of the cities and parking.

Guest Book Comments: This was the first time in Italy and we couldn't have picked a better spot! The house was every bit as good as it looked from photos, not to mention the peace ...! We had a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful and the surrounding country fabulous. I will definitely be recommending the property to my friends, family and colleagues. The house was perfect and the position ideal. You are so lucky to own such a lovely house. And the lady who manages the house, absolutely fantastic. ...... Kathryn and Felix, California, US; globalsl@yahoo.com

Golf: There are 3 golf courses: Perugia Golf Club, Antognolla Golf and Lamborghini Golf. Lamborghini is about 5 minutes away and offers 9 holes; driving range, putting green, pitching green, golf school, pro shop, club house.

Guest Book: “We had the most fantastic time. It just all went too quickly. You've furnished the villa beautifully. We loved the way all the doors opened onto the patios, letting a cool breeze through. We needed it, as it was scorching!” We really did enjoy our stay. That was my favourite part of the whole trip. I hope to come back again soon and stay again with my family and another couple. The villa is so spacious and comfortable. I am telling all my friends about it. Sophia and Iain Ekhlund

Other Activities: wine and cheese tasting, nearby spa towns, Jazz concerts, exploring medieval villages
