Florence Apartment Details
About the Area : The Oltrarno, or San Frediano, is the whole area south of the River Arno. Historically the area was added to the growing city centre at the end of the 1100s in order to include all the artisans’ activities that more and more were becoming vital for the economy of Florence. At the end of the 1300s, Florence was divided in several “Quartieri” each taking the name by the closest church. The famous church of “Santo Spirito” gave the name to the southern community of Florence. Today most of the flavors of the artisan atmosphere and style are still preserved thanks to our artisans who pass on generation by generation their knowledge and their crafts.
