Kehena House Summary

24 miles south of Hilo and neighbor to the currently erupting volcano that is home to Pele, the goddess of the volcano. A site second to none! Located to take in the sites of Hilo Town to the north or drive around southern most tip of the US and head north to Kona on the West side of island. Either way you go, there are many stops along the way and sites along the way. Kahena's black sand beach is surrounded by swaying palms and is the #1 beach for dolphin and turtle encounters. Whales have been seen too! This beautiful oceanfront beach home affords the comfort of a 2 BR, 1 BA home decorated island style. You will be awe struck by the view of the ocean from most all rooms of the house. The sounds of the ocean will rock you to sleep at night and wash away your cares by day. This location is a private hideaway and great place to rejuvenate the soul.

This area is the Near Volcano National Park, home of the Hawaiian Goddess, Pele. It is lush with foilage and tropical fauna. There are botanical gardens, parks, ponds and other water activities. The area is lush in culture and friendly in aloha. There is always activity in Hawaii. We are waterfront, a walking distance to the beautiful black sand beaches of Kehena. This inlet of Pacific Ocean is the most known for it's dolphin encounters in the their natural habitat, in all the Big Island. The area is private and a true taste of Hawaii.

Kehena House Rates

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • $129-165/Night
  • NO deposit necessary if booked with credit card. One half of total stay (excluding reservation fee) is due 7 days after booking. Balance due 45 days prior to stay. Cancellation for full refund, less reservation fee must be made in writing 45 days in advance. Bookings are not guaranteed until first half is paid.

    All Stays are subject to a $75.00 cleaning fee and Hawaii State Tax.

    June 16 - Nov 15 $139 Daily / $938 Weekly
    Nov 15 - April 30 $134 Daily / $910 Weekly
    Dec 11 - Jan 10 $165 Daily / $1155 Weekly (one week minimum / X-mas Holiday)
