Boca Grande Pass, home of several of the world’s richest tarpon tournaments is a 10-15 minute run. You decide whether to fish the varied open and backwater spots or bask on some of the most pristine island beaches anywhere. Nearby Cayo Costa (a Florida state park), and North Captiva provide some of the world's best shelling. Useppa Island is the legendary location of Jose Gaspar’s buried treasure and is the home of the historical Collier Restaurant and Inn. Cabbage Key, home of the renowned ”Cheeseburger in Paradise”, is a short hop from Useppa. An ancient home of the Calusa Indians, Pine Island Sound and Carlotte Harbor are scattered with Indian mounds and history. Pine Island's untouched natural environment is home to many varieties of wildlife. At day's end pull in, clean your catch, rinse and stow your gear in the convenient lockable storage areas, and replay the day from the veranda as you enjoy nature’s brightly painted sunset.
